X marks the Tot is the place to shop if you are….
…a fashion forward-parent, relative or friend.
…in need of a “WOW” factor shower gift.
…a supporter of originally designed attire for tots.

We are writing to tell you about our new baby boutique-X Marks the Tot. We make uber cute clothing for babies and budding young hipsters. We are located at Historic Gilman Village # 24 in Issaquah, Washington. Opening a new business during this time of economic hardship has proven to be a challenge, but we believe our clothes are unique and unlike anything else available. X Marks the Tot is owned and operated by Tarri, Carisa, and Andrea Burchak; grandmother, mother and auntie to two beautiful little girls-Violet and Nova-the inspiration for starting this line of babywear.We are making the clothes we hoped to find, but never could, shopping for Violet and Nova.
Tarri Burchak has created a name for herself among the fashion elite in Seattle as one of its most talented custom clothing designers. Using her expertise in all areas of design and fashion, amazing attention to detail and great taste, enables the collaborative design ideas of X Marks the Tot to come to life. Carisa's previous work in retail allowed her to become fluent in sales, marketing and merchandising. Her knowledge, coupled with her ability to create some of our favorite outfits, has added the perfect flavor to the line. Andrea is a professional dancer and thanks to her mother Tarri grew up designing and sewing costumes for various performances. She's also sharing her skills with the paintbrush, scissors, and a glue stick to design the store logo, promotional posters and in store wall details. Grandpa and Daddy also help out with the tough decisions, photography, and overall moral support.
We are running a family business that we are proud to call our own.We design and manufacture in our on-site studio and Violet and Nova wear all of the clothes we make. Some of our different lines consist of clever recycled t-shirts made into "Tee-Suits and Shirt-Pants", New Born Layettes made from unexpected prints and unique embellishments, Organic Tee's with a vintage spin, and you should see the skirts and shorts we have for the summer babes. We are always adding something new and fun to our racks, because, cool kids deserve cool clothes.
